Dr. Linda Tarabay

Dr. Linda Tarabay is a multilingual general practitioner whose career in medicine began in 1986 and has continued, almost without pause, ever since. She trained at the 1st Institute of Medicine in Moscow and went on to practise as a GP and emergency physician across hospitals, private clinics, and dispensaries in Lebanon and, more recently, Saudi Arabia.

Her work has never sat still in one place. For more than a decade she cared for elderly patients at the Ain Wazein Hospital Elderly Care Center, an experience that left a lasting mark on how she thinks about medicine — not only treating illness, but supporting people through the long, quieter work of aging well. During those years she also examined the real cost of elder care, authoring two financial studies on the subject, one of which was presented to Lebanon's Ministry of Social Affairs.

Alongside the clinic, Dr. Tarabay has been a teacher. For over a decade she taught geriatrics and health science at the Ain Wazein Nursing School, and it was there that her work as an author began: she wrote a teaching book and accompanying CD on geriatric care for nursing students, in Arabic and simplified English. That instinct — to take hard-won clinical knowledge and make it clear enough to pass on — runs through both of the books she has written since.

She has also built a second professional track in healthcare quality. She holds an international MBA in Hospital Management from a joint program of USJ, Paris-Dauphine, and Panthéon-Sorbonne, and is a certified Lead Auditor in Quality Management Systems through TÜV Rheinland. She has served as a hospital Chief Quality Officer and continues to consult on quality management for Life Laboratories for Medical Analysis in Lebanon.

Today she practises as a general practitioner with the Al Kannas Group in Riyadh. Across nearly forty years, the through-line has stayed the same: careful, well-rounded care, and a belief that good medicine is worth writing down.
